What Is White Thai Kratom?

This tree grows wild in Thailand and throughout Southeast Asia. In these regions, people have chewed the leaves of kratom for thousands of years to help them push through difficult workdays. White Thai kratom contains a high concentration of the primary alkaloid mitragynine.

White Thai kratom also contains other alkaloids (as many as 40 have already been identified), each with its own effects. Most of these — scientifically known as mitragynine congeners — are directly related to mitragynine and make up close to 85% of the total alkaloids.
